The Project
To provide the owner with a quality HVAC project as designed in the time frame required for school opening. The timeline for completion of the project was difficult given a lengthy winter delay due to rain, but Middleton was able to provide additional manpower and work overtime to facilitate the shortened schedule. Meeting the client’s expectations is always the top priority at Middleton Heat & Air, and the team went above and beyond to ensure all needs were met.
The project consisted of:
- 5 rooftop units for kitchen and common areas
- 2 OSA units for conditioned OSA at all areas of the school
- 14 exhaust fans and duct systems related to the units
- Classrooms, offices and support rooms were conditioned with VRF systems, which consisted of 79 ceiling and wall-mounted cassettes for individual cooling.
DDC control systems were Distech and VRF systems were provided by Daikin. Integration of the VRF systems into the main Distech DDC control system so the owner could monitor off-site was a first for both vendors.
